PartyCAD and Vista |
Vista is a new variant of the Windows operating system that Microsoft began shipping in early 2007.
• Versions of PartyCAD labeled PartyCAD 10.1 or later run on Windows Vista, as well as on Windows XP and Windows ME.
• Versions of PartyCAD prior to 10.1 will not run well on Vista. These older versions may freeze at startup, will not display program help, and will not save pictures correctly from within the Virtual Reality module.
What Should I do?
If you don't have a Vista machine... If you do not have a computer with the Vista operating system, there is no need to do anything.
If you do have a Vista machine and PartyCAD 10 as well... All purchasers of PartyCAD 10 were sent a copy of PartyCAD 10.1 in May of 2007. Use this CD when installing PartyCAD on your Vista machine, and you should have no problems. Once the PartyCAD is up and running, you can update to the latest build by going to the update page here.
If you have lost or never received your PartyCAD 10.1 CD, let us know, and we will send you another. If you experience any difficulty in using the software, please get in touch with us for a rapid resolution of the problem. You will find contact information here.
If you have a Vista machine and an earlier version of PartyCAD... Your earlier version of PartyCAD will never run correctly on Vista machines, but there is a solution to the problem. Request a demo of the latest version of PartyCAD here. Once the demo arrives, install it on your new machine and all should be well. The demo will run for 30 days, after which, you can either pay for the upgrade, or use your old serial number and run PartyCAD 10 as an earlier version for free. Either way, PartyCAD will continue to work on your Vista computer.
If you have an older version of PartyCAD, you may be wondering what has changed since you last updated the package. If you know your version number, click on its name below to link to a page describing what has changed since your last purchase.
