How to Avoid Printing Unwanted Boxes

Question

I want to print just my plan with no logo and no boxes around it. I can delete the logo and other items from the page, but there is a box around my plan I can't get rid of. Also, when I print, the resulting PDF had two boxes... one around the plan and a bigger one around the page. How can I get rid of these?

Answer

The box around your design on your page is the plan of your design. You can hide this by going to the Design Editor and clicking Options. Now uncheck Show Plan in Page Design. You could also uncheck Show Plan in Page Views if you would like to hide the plan in your 3D views, if you had any. Note, though, that you must show the plan in your page design if you want to color it, otherwise the color registration will be incorrect.

The second unwanted box you are seeing is just the border around the page. To turn the border off, right-click on the Print icon in the Page Editor, uncheck the Show Page Border option and then click Print.
